Dr. Piermarini received a B.S. in Biology from James Madison University and a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Florida.  He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Yale School of Medicine and Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine before joining the Department of Entomology as an assistant professor in 2011.
