CAPS & ABRC participate in Westerville Starry Night event

Staff from the Center for Applied Plant Sciences and the Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center provided hands-on science activities at this year's Starry Night event in Westerville. The event, which took place on Sunday, April 8th, attracted hundreds of people from the Westerville City School district and beyond. At the CAPS/ABRC station, attendees were invited to extract DNA from applesauce, check out how mutations change the way a plant looks and test their knowledge about how their food is grown.

This is just one of the many school and community events that CAPS and ABRC participate in throughout the year.
