Lankitus received his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Biology from Capital University in 2019. He began his PhD program Fall of 2019 at the OARDC in Wooster, OH, being co-advised by Dr. Katrina Cornish and Dr. Jonathan Fresnedo Ramirez. His project is focused on the development of Taraxacum kok-saghyz (aka rubber dandelion) for use as a rubber crop. He is also a member of ABRC's STEM Professionals Reaching Out (SPROUT) program, a science communication and public outreach program for plant science researchers at OSU.
