Nathalia Oliveira is a Biologist interested in insect-microorganisms interaction. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2011) and her Master's degree in Entomology from the University of São Paulo (2015). She is a PhD student at the International Molecular and Cellular Biology Program of the University of São Paulo. She is currently a visiting scholar at Ohio State University, under the supervision of Dr. Andy Michel. Her project focuses on how the gut microbes are involved in the host plant adaptation process of Spodoptera frugiperda, an important agricultural pest in the Western Hemisphere
