In a moment of serenditipty CAPS Program Manager, Donnalyn Roxey, met retired Americal Chemical Society (ACS) member and leader of Upper Arlington's Silver Circle, Tom Weeks at the College of Arts and Sciences Science Sunday.  Silver Circle is a group of retired professionals that began out of the ACS.  Together, CAPS and Silver Circle, hosted a lunch and learn with a facility tour.  Professor Jon Parquette gave a talk on his CAPS Scientific Team and Professor Erich Grotewold lead a tour of the Rightmire and Biotechnology Support Facilities.  Tom said of the event, "Our visit had something for everyone: the chemists and engineers were happy, the gardeners were happy, and all were impressed not only by the activities of the center, but by the many facets of work going on at OSU. Those who thought OSU was only a hospital with a football team were pleasantly surprised."
