The Center for Applied Plant Sciences hosted 45 seventh grade students from Mifflin Middle School for the Breakfast of Science Champions program. During their time with us, students learned about DNA, toured CAPS and ABRC, and conducted a hands-on experiment exploring nitrogen fixation in legumes treated with the beneficial bacterium Rhizobium.
