CAPS Morning Gatherings

First CAPS Morning GatheringFebruary 27, 2012: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Senate Chamber, Ohio Union, Columbus OH

CAPS will host quarterly scientific updates, beginning Winter 2012.  The CAPS Morning Gatherings consist of quarterly meetings covering topics related to each of the four CAPS Strategic Areas. The main objective of these gatherings is to develop interactions between OSU researchers in diverse fields. Speakers should summarize highlights of their work, focusing on questions and problems that could be better solved as part of collaborations with other researchers. Light refreshments will be served.

Strategic Area: Biofuels & Sustainable Energy Practices

Speakers will include:

  • Gil Bohrer, Dept. of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering
  • Ana Alonso, Dept. of Molecular Genetics
  • Susan Olesik, Dept of Chemistry & Biochemistry
  • ST Yang, Dept. Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering
  • Bob Tabita, Dept. of Microbiology
  • José Castro, Dept. of Integrated Systems Engineering
  • Yebo Li, Dept. of Food, Agriculture & Biological Engineering
  • Rattan Lal, School of Environment & Natural Resources
