SOFTWARE CARPENTRY BOOTCAMP

The Software Carpentry Bootcamp targeted researchers who are familiar with basic programming concepts, and were interested in improving their programming abilities and learn common best practices. Developed and taught by Software Carpentry Instructors (softwarecarpenty.org), the programming bootcamp was designed to empower researcher’s coding abilities by teaching them how to get the most from the command line, version tracking software, standard libraries, and SQL databases.

An annual distinguished guest computational biology seminar given my Dr. Michael Snyder, Professor and chair, Department of Genetics, Stanford University. The seminar focused on systems biology and integrative omics. The one-hour seminar was followed by meetings between the speaker and graduate students, post-docs and members of faculty.
