Breakfast of Science Champions

Staff and students investigate root nodules on soybean plants treated with beneficial bacteria.

The Center for Applied Plant Sciences (CAPS) and the Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center (ABRC) will once again serve as a host site for OSU's Breakfast of Science Champions program at 9:30 on the morning of the 9th. Forty seventh grade students from the Columbus City School District will visit CAPS and ABRC for a morning packed with science learning. Students will join faculty, staff and graduate students for breakfast before touring the centers’ laboratories, growth chambers and greenhouse. Additionally, students will engage in a variety of hands-on activities that demonstrate the important ways plants impact our lives. The event will conclude at approximately 12 pm after a morning filled with excited learning and breakfast.
